I blush for them
As the Beijing 2008 Olympics come to its 8th day, The Americans or the yankees or whatever you want to call them, have been on top of the medal count table for quite some time. However, I BLUSHED for their fcking red faces and shame on expecially Yahoo! for its biased reporting on the Beijing Olympics 2008. Stories of the CGI fireworks and also the girl who did not sing first appeared on Yahoo!'s news. Come on guys, you can do better than that!! IMHO, you YANKEES are just jealous diu. But the main point here is not this. If they wanna be biased and report as if the US government has some kind of restriction over them, then its their choice and i would stand firm on my stance on the spirit of reporters for being biased!!! SHAME ON YOU AMERICAN YANKEES!!
Back to the main point, im saying the ways MEDALS are counted seems especially shocking to me. At first, i thought, hmmmm, must be my blardy eyes seeing the wrong thing. But then hor, after 8 days and numerous viewings on different computers, im convinced that every inch of my eyes are correct. The medal counting on Yahoo! again is where i look for the medals since it link is right there on the home page. So when you press on it, it will be
loading........ haha xP lame...
You look at medal count table, not Micheal Phelps...
Bigger view for some lazy people who dont like to click...
As you can see, the medal count table ranks the country who is first as the country with the highest count of medals. WTF!, since when in Olympic history that medals are being counted like this??? Shouldn't the country with the most number of GOLD MEDALS be on top of the medal chart? SO WEIRD!! What if lets say a country tops the table with the most number of medals but all are just silver and bronze? I'm not saying that silver and bronze is not worth it but as always Gold would be most treasured. Isn't it a biased way of changing the way of counting medals just because your country no longer tops it? I'm not saying this because i'm chinese but i', just curious that SINCE WHEN ON EARTH DID THIS CHANGE? I'm actually kinda pissed and to tell you what, YAHOO! has lost all it credibility to me if you ask. I'm not gonna use Yahoo!'s search engine anymore. I'm gonna use Google all the time from now on!!
By the way, i respect Micheal Phelps for becoming the most decorated Olympian of all time! It's a great acheivement only to be spoiled by the way the American's are reporting it on Yahoo!. Owh, if you didn't notice, try subtracting the amazing number of medals which Phelps won and see where the US stand!
