Its gonna be new year in just about 6 hours time. I just wanted to make a last post for 2008 actually. But im going out for a movie later. I dont think so i'll be back before 12 to do so, erm so just making this short short entry here. Hope you guys enjoy your new year. 2008 has been good to me (and Man Utd) so lets hope 2009 will be even better :)

Ah, its Boxing Day again. For those who don't know, the day after Christmas is usually known as Boxing Day. If you want further information, you can always come here xD I sometimes wonder if the people celebrating Christmas gets what it meant when they celebrate Christmas.
Yesterday's sharing at Brother David's house did really paint the real picture of what's really happening out there. I am glad that i was at the meeting instead of being at The Spring looking at fireworks or anything of sorts near there. You see, the fact that people say "Aiya celebrate Christmas because its the birth of Jesus Christ ma". That makes me remember the few reasons of why i don't celebrate Christmas. In the first place, Jesus wasn't born during 25th December. So it makes no sense celebrating something which was put in place a human. Then again, people argue, "Sometimes its not the facts which matter that much, its the just the spirit which counts". Again, the illustration shared by Bro David showed how weird we humans are.
Its goes like this. It was Christmas eve. His friend was trying to convince him to attend a Christmas celebration outside. As usual, he said no. But his friend knowing all the facts of Christmas told him that it's the spirit which is important. Then, he made a deal with his friend. He said, " Tell me what you see at 12am. If you see the people outside there really remembering the birth of Jesus Christ, I will join you guys."
We all know the what his friend saw at 12am. It wasn't people sincerly praying or anything. Instead they were partying hard, drinking beer, and having those kind of fun which you do at a pub. His friend did not tell him what he saw.
At the end of this story, we all can see what we humans are weirdly capable of. Associating beer commercials with Christmas and then proclaiming, " We celebrate Christmas to remember the birth of Jesus." Plain shameless and weird but yet millions celebrate each year come 25th December. Are you one of them? Maybe it's time to reflect on the so called "Christmas" you're celebrating. Maybe that's why sometimes I feel a lonely Christmas is yet better than a Christmas with the wrong people and purpose. At least, that's what I feel......
So Christmas came and went just like that. I did mostly nothing though i did went to a home meeting at Bro David's house, which was very nice - I got to eat sunny hill ice-cream (: and i even made a float out of it with pepsi xD . Anyways, the day just went by like any other day which is fine with me. Okays thats all for today :)
Its the time of the year again. In a blink of an eye, another year has just passed by me. Sorry that i haven't update for some time, precisely 1 month and 3 days. Ah, anyway, who cares. Back to the topic, another year has gone by - well just almost gone by. It the time where everyone is kinda in a emo-ish mood where they reminisce what they did and what they achieved for this year. Its the time where we feel sorry for wasting time and promise to do better next year. Hmmm, so what have i done this year of note? i guess the first would be enrolling in a university which is "oversea" (over the south china sea) and coming out to live on my own though it isn't really the first time.
Then the second would be i managened to survive in Sarawak for like almost a year (: Though i didnt really experience any so called cultural shock when you go somewhere far far away from home, i still appauld myself for being able to stay safe from the bad influences and also making some new friends on the way.
Another part worth remembering would be the church life here. Its kinda more slaky but i do enjoy it. I enjoy being away from the mess of the church in my hometown where adults acting like kids when there is a problem to solve is so frustrating. Besides, being able to blend in almost perfectly is very much what i have hoped for. Last and but not least is Bro David's family, who've gave me much to think about and really showed what is love, care and kindness. I guess this is about for this year? My life is slow and dull. Nothing much ever happens thought I know that but i don't intend to change it.
Away from this, i've seem to lost my blogging mojo. Part of it would be the lack of pictures i guess? My stupid phone and the stupid Vista seem to owe each other something during their last life that they would not work together and so there the lack of pictures which made me lost my so called blogging mojo. I seem to be intent on just reading other people's blog without blogging. Its a sad sad situation which i want to change. Therefore, i will make a resolution to blog at least twice a week from now on. Hope I'll succedd in this (:
Owh, by the way, my phone is not blue black instead of being white. Totally random haha
I guess this is enough for this time. There you have it - an emo post? random post? bah wadeva post for this time of the year.
