Milo Blues

We all, oh well almost all drank the famous Nestle drink MILO during our growing years and will continue to drink it. The drink seems to be on every mother's list when a baby grows up to be a child. It seems that it is only right that one child who grew up drinking MILO for breakfast is normal. This has been happening in Malaysia ever since i was born and maybe started when the company first introduced this box office drink.

As we know, too much of anything is bad. Thats probably same in the case of MILO. There was a day last week when me and my sister were out. As usual, MILO came to our minds when we thought of buying a drink to supplement our sandwich breakfast. As we were in the Tasik Selatan Lrt Station, we stopped at the shop and look for a can of MILO. As " smart consumers " , we compared the price of the canned MILO and the packet MILO.

This cost Rm 2 per can....damn expensive wei...

This cost Rm 1.60 per packet

We both felt that the price of Milo was not so economical and therefore decided to buy at the next stop at midvalley. So we boarded the train and headed to midvalley, which was our next stop. We went into a newspaper stand in midvalley and proceded to the fridge and found the price of the canned Milo the same old price. =(

They izzit got meeting to all sell the same price wan?? damn still Rm 2

We then tried to act smart and put the can of Milo back to the fridge and headed off to - THE FOOD COURT!! Looks like kinda smart neh? Logic told my brains that the sure the food court sell the Milo will be cheaper or maybe a reasonable price for another volume of Milo. Guess wut, we saw the signboard showing the Milo : Rm 2.50.

Stupid small cup... Rm 2.50 leh.... !#$%^&

We were like WTF!!.... How stupid. The reasoning continued. We then tried to estimate how large was the cup and compare the price to the canned of packet one. We concluded that its was about 280ml per cup and therefore not worth it at Rm 2.50. So after a damn big round of comparing, we finally got our Milo, the canned ones at Rm 2 per can - albiet 2 hours later. DAMN.... im so gonna be sticking to soya bean drink next time. They cost Rm 1.30 if you didnt know. DAMN..... Milo blues....

That concludes my blardy story of trying to get our favourite Milo at a cheaper price. The conclusion is that, Milo outside whether canned or packet is way to expensive for me. I shall stick to soy beans next time. If i want Milo, i WILL make it at home. Dang,....

This is more economical at Rm 1.30

So thats my story and now it is time for some Milo stories. After drinking Milo for so many years, do you know how Milo is made?? Or is it made of rust as some say?? To those who believe Milo is made of rust, go soak your head and go back to kindergarden to study some logic.

This is truly how Milo is made. ( adapted from nestle.com.au )

To make MILO, Nestlé takes malt extract (made from malted barley and rice) and mixes it with full cream milk powder, cocoa, sugar, iron, mineral salts and vitamins A, B1, B2 and C. The result is thick and creamy – but not for long. A huge vacuum dryer turns it into MILO granules. The dryer removes the moisture at a low temperature, which prevents the nutrients being removed. The granules are then packed into the distinctive green cans you see in shops everywhere.

So thats how practically Milo is made. So now anyone think they're composed of a little rust. Go soak your head.....

Inactivity??

Im back folks!!

After a period of no blog post, im back. K this is over exaggerating the fact that i've not blogged for about a week. Oh its indeed a week. Enough of this crap and back to my topic. I have not blogged this week due to really a really hectic schedule. Everyday i come back home quite late and after that whack, im on the bed and sleeping like a pig. The next day, i would wake up as if i got school and go out of the house early. This whole week has been more or less the same and therefore leading to no blog post. Just in case if you wondered, i've been out searching for a job. Today is an off day and so i shall blog.

Thats enough of my crap and life.

To get you starting, let me tell u something weird. Here it goes :

Younger Sis : U noe wat? School's gonna have spot checks from next week.

Me : SO??

Younger Sis : They're gonna check those school books. They're gonna check those who do not wrap their book. Gonna be a 50 cents fine for one unwrapped book. Weird rite?

Me : WHOA

So this got me really surprised now. So to all those lazy buggers who study in a goverment school and refuse to wrap your books, perpare to pay the fine - or GO WRAP UR BOOKS NOW!!!! Its like the goverment is trying to protect the books it gives to all students for free. I wonder if there is gonna be any more ruling like, One teared page will cost u a dollar or if you scribbled on the book then they will ask u to pay another 50 cents? Haha

Back to my topic. I have no topic actually. Thats the first and the last and all i have got to say. =P hehe

No Matter / Different As Night And Day

No Matter / Different As Night And Day - Angel

Doesn't matter whom you are with
Doesn't matter where you are going
Don't you know I'm still waiting here for you
And pray for you
In the sunny days
Sun will light your day
In the windy days when will we go away?
I have to say you're my treasure moments
Never gonna walk away
In the rainy daysrains will share my tears
In the stormy days storms will steal my pain
Just go your way and leave things all behind
Spread your wings and fly away
I'm pretending your mine
I'm wishing you'll be fine
The moments we share never die
You've made a difference to my life

So this is a nice song i heard from a hong kong Tvb series. Anyone who got the full version of the song please tell me in the cbox k?

Thank You

I give thanks to the Lord

I give thanks to you today Lord for it has indeed been a blessed day. It has truly been your grace and mercy that today she hears and believes into your salvation. We give thanks the son of peace for this. Lord, continue to nourish this young seed and let her grow that she might be a useful vessel to you Lord. We continue to pray for her baptism and let it happen sooner than later. We give thanks to you.

Rev 22:14

Blessed are those who wash their robes that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter by the gates into the city.

So to those who believes, get baptized sooner then later. Do not wait any longer for God says believe and be be baptized.

Mark 16:16

He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who does not believe shall be condemmed.

Amen

Education system in a disarray

Education system in Malaysia has for a long time been criticised for being too academically driven instead of serving its purpose of educating children to become someone balanced in life. Results in exams matter so much now that children are being sent to tuition classes after a long day of school. In this weird age in Malaysia, if you cannot get straight A's in public exams, den u can be deprived of chances to improve your life through education. Yes, we all need to study and exams are indeed needed to at least disipline a child to at least put something inside their brains. However, exams nowadays are being taken over board. Why do i say this? Have a look at the new syllabus our form 4's this year are gonna take for their SPM next year.

The "wajib" subjects have been increased this year to a SEVEN subjects if you're going to orientation this week. Lets take a look at the the core subjects which every student have to take in SPM next year.

1) Bahasa Malaysia
2) English
3) Pendidikan Moral
4) Maths
5) Sejarah
6) Sivic
7) Pendidikan Jasmani

Lets see now. We used to need 5 credits to pass SPM. Thats why the least subjects most people take is either 6 or 7. But now, you'll need 7 credits to pass your SPM. Whats with the Sivic and Pendidikan Jasmani coming out on SPM papers?? What is Sivic all about? Isnt it the same as Pendidikan Moral? No, it isnt. It teaches about all sorts of ruling there is in this country. Its not an easy subject to study to say the least if your're not good in ur BM. Pendidikan Jasmani for SPM?? Im kinda speechless now. I just pity the students in form 4 next year and following. I really thank GOD that SPM is over for me.

If you see, whats the use of studying Sivic? I just don't get it. What the heck can you do if you happen to know a little more about the law? Can you challenge the Goverment if you learn more Sivic? The answer is hell no because there is the ISA. What good would it do to be studying more subjects for SPM? So that the record A's for SPM can be broken every year to show that we have a effective education system? This is so wrong. If you see properly again, i would applaud the goverment for at last recognising sports as an important subject but again why WAJIB?? I dont see the point. You see if you're a science student this year in form four, you'll be studying 12 subjects on the minimum and 14 to be more on par with the rest of the form. So what if you get 14 A1's for SPM?? Does it mean you are going to be successful in life? No, it doesnt. Does it mean that if you get 10 A1's but the rest B's your a failure? No. 10 subjects are already seen as hell a lot and now they're increasing it. So much so THANK YOU MR GOVERMENT .I.

This is just the education system being messed up and totally wrong. Its again the quality over quantity debate. Its has been proven time and again that quality always win on the long term. In the overseas, they take five core subjects and thats the maximum u are allowed to take. This is why on a long run they can do better than us as they're much more focused on what is their goal and not take all the subject to stress up their life. What's the use of studying so many subjects? Its something like " Jack of all trades but master of none ". Maybe thats why Malaysia can never produce world beating champions and world class quality students. This is sick and wrong. Its messed up along with all the country. Let hope we'll not take any steps backwards in this every fast forwarding world as education can and will change life of people. Are you listening HISHAMUDDIN??

THIS IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
